Russia applies the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) vehicle safety regulation and a utilization fee on imported vehicles. Plan certification and cold-weather range before choosing a version.
Vehicles entering the EAEU must comply with technical regulation TR CU 018/2011 on the safety of wheeled vehicles. A vehicle type is covered by a type approval (OTTS); an individually imported vehicle needs a vehicle design safety certificate (SBKTS). The regulation is maintained by the Eurasian Economic Commission and was most recently amended in December 2025.
Russia charges a utilization (recycling) fee on imported vehicles, tiered by vehicle age and, since a government resolution that took effect on 1 December 2025, by engine power. Commercial importers pay commercial rates. Ask your broker to calculate the fee for the exact version before you order; we provide motor power and homologation data for each Yangguang.
All lithium batteries lose usable range in deep cold, and cabin heating draws extra energy. For long winter routes or regions with few chargers, the Yangguang Pro EREV is the safer choice: it drives electrically, and its 1.5-litre turbo generator keeps it moving when the battery runs low (850 km CLTC combined range).
