Kazakhstan follows the same EAEU vehicle regulation as Russia and does not register right-hand-drive vehicles, which makes the left-hand-drive Yangguang a natural fit.
No. Kazakhstan prohibits registration of right-hand-drive vehicles (except for international traffic), and since January 2024 has also banned the import of RHD vehicles in disassembled form, according to the national quality portal. The Yangguang is built in LHD.
As an EAEU member, Kazakhstan applies TR CU 018/2011. Imported vehicles need type approval or a single-vehicle safety certificate (SBKTS) to be registered. A proposal to ban imports of cars older than 7 years was paused in October 2025, so check the latest status if you plan to buy used vans.
Kazakhstan is not among the EAEU members granted duty-free electric vehicle import quotas for 2026, according to the Eurasian Economic Commission. Budget for the standard duty and confirm fees with your broker.
Between cities, the Yangguang Pro EREV avoids range anxiety. Inside Almaty or Astana with depot charging, the battery-electric 2026 Yangguang keeps running costs low.
Import rules, duties and certificates change frequently. Confirm current requirements with a licensed customs broker in your country before paying a deposit; we provide the vehicle data and documents your broker needs.
Rail or truck transport from China can be quoted where available, as well as sea freight to a transit port. The route is agreed per order.
